Video: Fiber connector certification speed challenge
At the recent 2014 BICSI Winter Conference, test and measurement equipment vendor EXFO Inc. (NASDAQ: EXFO) challenged participants to stop by its kiosk to take part in the company's fiber connector certification speed challenge.
Contestants were asked to inspect and certify 5 UPC fiber connectors (2 clean, 2 dirty, 1 scratched) using the company's new FIP-430B fully automated fiber inspection probe. The video reveals the winning and average times of the contest's 31 participants, who ranged from first-time testers to technicians with 20 years of fiber expertise.
