Siemon expands library of data center BIM objects

Three sets of cabinets, including the VersaPOD, are added to the company’s BIM library.

Siemon recently announced, via a post to its Network Infrastructure Blog, that it has added VersaPOD cabinets, V600 and V800 cabinets to its library of data center BIM (building information modeling) objects.

“Siemon provides a growing library of BIM models of our network racks, cabinets, cable management and other network infrastructure products,” the company said. “These models are provided in multiple formats—Revit, DWF, AutoCAD 3-D, ACIS 3-D—for optimal compatibility with today’s leading BIM software programs including Autodesk Revit and Bentley MicroStation.
