Graybar unveils contractor estimating software

Graybar says its new estimating software, GBid, helps small and medium-sized contractors generate accurate, consistent bid documents to present to customers.

Graybar announced that its new estimating software, dubbed GBid, helps small and medium-sized contractors generate accurate, consistent bid documents to present to customers. The GBid software allows the contractor to easily build material lists, pull in Graybar pricing, add labor estimates, product bid documents and convert estimates into electronic purchase orders to Graybar.

With a robust database of more than 120,000 items, approximately 500,000 pre-built assembly options, and 50,000 pre-built electrical and data assemblies, the distributor says that the GBid platform has all the tools contractors need to start estimating for their next job. Notably, the distributor says the software's automatic labor factoring feature helps contractors determine the right amount of labor required for each item, according to its level of difficulty.
