TIA FOTC examines healthcare facility standard ANSI/TIA-1179

The TIA's Fiber Optics Technology Consortium (FOTC) announced that it will host a free web conference entitled, Understanding the Healthcare Facility Standard ANSI/TIA-1179. The presentation will be delivered by Dave Kozischek of Corning Cable Systems. The online event will be held on Tuesday, September 16th from 11:00 a.m. - 12: 15 p.m. EDT.

TIA-1179 specifies requirements for telecommunications infrastructure for healthcare facilities. The FOTC's webinar will cover what the factors are that are driving this standard, applications that are affected by it, and how it differs from other current cabling infrastructure standards.

TIA FOTC represents leading vendors of fiber-optics and related technologies for advancing new and better communications solutions.
