Antaira Technologies (Anaheim, CA), a developer and supplier of industrial device networking and communication products for harsh environmental applications, has expanded its industrial PoE+ networking infrastructure line with the release of its LMP-0602 and LMP-0602-24 series. The 6-port industrial PoE+ managed Ethernet switches support a 48~55VDC high voltage power input (LMP-0602) and a 12~36VDC low voltage power input with a built-in voltage booster (LMP-0602-24). Each unit is designed with four 10/100Tx Fast Ethernet ports that are IEEE 802.3 at/af compliant (PoE+/PoE) with a PoE+ power output up to 30W per port.

Antaira Technologies' LMP-0602 and LMP-0602-24 series' additional dual 100Fx fiber ports support both an SC or ST type connection, and either a multi-mode (2Km) or single-mode (30Km) option. Designed with dual power inputs, both switches provide reverse polarity, EFT, surge (2,000VDC) and ESD (6,000VDC) protection. A built-in relay warning function alerts system maintainers when power failures occur. This makes the switches ideal for applications requiring a high reliability, distance extension capability, and/or any harsh environment flexibility.

This product series is pre-loaded with "Layer 2" network management software, which supports Web Console or Telnet protocols using a serial console with CLI configuration. All Antaira managed switches provide a redundant ring network function with RSTP and the ITU-G.8032 support, which the company notes eliminates compatibility issues for any existing network concern. In addition, built-in SNMP, VLAN, IGMP, and QoS features support the network planners to increase data transmission performance within the network. An external USB 2.0 port allows users to export and save all configuration settings. In addition, a port specific customizable labeling feature allows network planners to name each connection port. This allows for easy remote management by allowing technicians to easily read field devices.

The IP30-rated LMP-0602 and LMP-0602-24 series are backed by a five year warranty. Both units are compact, fanless, and DIN-Rail/wall mountable. Each unit is built to withstand industrial networking hazards like shock, drop, vibration, electromagnetic interference (EMI). The unit also has temperature extreme version options for either a standard temperature range (-10 to 70°C) or an extended operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C). The model series have dimensions of 46mm (W) x 142mm (H) x 99mm (D) and a unit weight of 1.5 pounds.
