TIA adds 12 new members

New companies joining TIA represent businesses from across the technology and telecommunications industry.

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) announced that the TIA board of directors has approved 12 companies and organizations as new members.

The new companies joining TIA represent businesses from across the technology and telecommunications industry. Among those joining TIA are a mobile cloud computing company, telecommunications tower builders, cabling manufacturers, an emergency communications engineering and construction firm and a technology trade association serving 1,000 members in Northern Virginia.

The new members are as follows: AESA Cortaillod; Affirmed Networks, Inc.; Bennett and Pless; Consolidated Engineering; Convergent Connectivity Technology; GetVoIP.com; Northern Virginia Technology Council; Safety LMS Training; Semaan Engineering Solutions Holdings, LLC; Strategic Edge Group; TowerMRL, Inc.; and Tusa Consulting Services.

The approval of these new members follows the addition of Scott Belcher as TIA's CEO late last year. Since taking over the organization, Belcher has been working to advance TIA’s presence and give the organization a stronger voice in the policy, business and technology debates taking place in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry.

“With the addition of these new members, TIA continues to grow as a strong representative for tech and telecom companies in a rapidly changing industry,” said Belcher. “Through advocacy, standards-setting and networking, TIA ensures companies’ voices are heard as the future of the network is decided.”

TIA will hold its annual flagship conference – TIA2015: Network of the Future – in Dallas, TX from June 1-4. More information is available at tia2015.org/.
