The new BICSI office in Dubai will give ICT professionals in the area increased access to BICSI’s best practices-based education, publications and credentialing programs.

BICSI (Tampa, FL), the association dedicated to advancing the information and communications technology (ICT) community, announced that it has obtained a license to open an office in Dubai, UAE.

"This new office is yet another testament to BICSI’s steadfast commitment to global expansion to areas with significant growth possibilities," said the association in a press statement. "BICSI membership in the [association's] Middle East and Africa (MEA) District has been steadily climbing, and Dubai has been identified as a prime area for ICT industry advancement and expansion."

As cited by BICSI, according to the Arab Knowledge Economy report 2015-2016, there have been increased investments toward technology and ICT infrastructure, as well as noticeable advancements in research and development as evidenced in the high numbers of patents registered in Saudi Arabia.

The UAE has been seen pioneering initiatives for developing technical advancements in key economic sectors for the region, including in ICT. Opening a BICSI office in Dubai will give ICT professionals in the area increased access to BICSI’s best practices-based education, publications and credentialing programs.

“We are very excited to move forward with opening the Dubai office, and even more excited to know that BICSI is officially recognized in Dubai,” said BICSI president Brian Ensign, RCDD, NTS, OSP, RTPM, CSI. “This license marks a great milestone in our strategy to support the MEA District. We will continue to advance the focused efforts on MEA and Dubai specifically to meet our BICSI Board Strategic Plan goal.”
