3 reasons to outsource project management

Aug. 30, 2016
Concert Technologies, which offers project management services, makes the case for optimizing your operations by outsourcing this critical function.

Concert Technologies has made the case for companies to outsource their project management functions, citing research data and applying its own experiences in the process. A page on Concert’s website, titled “Why You Should Outsource Project Management,” is where Concert makes the brief but compelling case.

“As professionals and business owners, we strive to keep up with the changing times and evolving customer mindset—going to extraordinary lengths to be relevant,” the company says. “But let’s face it; there are only so many hours in a day and you’re just one person with two hands.”

The page lays out a scenario with which many are familiar: Prioritizing tasks and, in doing so, putting “nice-to-haves” on the back burner. “How do you manage your business’s operations while also ensuring you are in a league of your own?” Concert asks, before answering: “Outsourcing your project management.”

The page then says there are three compelling reasons for outsourcing this function:

  1. Increased time management
  2. Cost-effectiveness
  3. Qualified competence

Concert cites sources including Indeed.com and a Geneca study on software projects.

“Outsourced project managers are ‘made-to-order,’ the company says. You have a project that requires specific skill sets and knowledge, and they can provide that.”

You can visit Concert Technologies’ web page here, where the company provides detail on each of the three reasons it says outsourcing project management is a wise move.
