Dell EMC Certified Technology Partner Transition is displaying its media converters, fiber adapters and Ethernet extenders this week at the computer giant's Austin, TX expo event.

AUSTIN, TX -- Transition Networks, Inc., a provider of data network integration solutions, is displaying at Dell EMC World 2016 a broad range of products that provide companies with the ability to increase their network bandwidth, extend distance, and improve security. As stated by a company press release, Transition Networks will showcase the following products at Dell EMC World:

The ION Platform: The ION Platform offers first-rate solutions for integrating, optimizing and navigating networks by cost-effectively connecting copper and fiber equipment. The ION Platform features 19-, 6-, 2- and 1-slot chassis that are 1RU- or 2RU-high, providing the flexibility for organizations to standardize with the ION Platform for all of their media conversion needs. All of the chassis accept any of the ION family slide-in media converter cards, including Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet or time division multiplexing (TDM). By combining all services into one universal platform with remote end-to-end management, The ION Platform offers a path to lower operating expenditures while reducing the initial capital expenses needed to ensure flexible connectivity network-wide.

Scorpion-USB 3.0 Gigabit Ethernet Fiber Adapter: The Scorpion-USB 3.0 is a USB-to-Ethernet fiber network adapter that enables laptops, tablets, desktops or other devices to connect to a fiber-based Ethernet network via a USB port. The adapter features a fiber Gigabit Ethernet port, LC or SC, or a dual-speed small form-factor pluggable (SFP) transceiver, along with a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connector that is backward compatible to a USB 2.0 port. The Scorpion-USB Ethernet fiber 3.0 adapter is designed for organizations such as government agencies that may prohibit or restrict copper or wireless networks due to security concerns, or enterprise organizations that want to capitalize on the bandwidth of fiber at or near the desktop.

Ethernet Over Coax Extender With PoE+: This new Ethernet extender reduces cost and accelerates time to service by utilizing existing coax cabling infrastructure to connect IP cameras, wireless access points or other IP devices to the Ethernet network without replacing the existing wiring. The extenders are used in pairs, with a local (EOCPSE4020-110) and remote (EOCPD4020-110) unit at opposite ends of the coax cable and conform to the IEEE 802.3 af/at standard for compliance with other PoE/PoE+ powered devices. The extenders provide power and data to the WAP or other connected device, allowing edge devices to be quickly and easily installed in remote locations where power was previously not available and eliminate the need for unnecessary and costly electrical installations.

Transition Networks is also a Dell EMC Certified Technology Partner, providing a growing range of connectivity solutions to Dell EMC customers. Dell EMC World 2016 will bring together business and IT leaders from around the world for the biggest enterprise technology event of the year. The conference will take place October 18-20 in Austin, TX and Transition Networks will showcase it’s solutions in booth #E18.

“This is our second year at Dell EMC World and the number of Dell EMC certified products we offer continues to grow, giving us several new solutions to share with this year’s show attendees,” said Tony LeFevbre, Director of Product Management for Transition Networks. “Combining the power and innovation of Dell EMC compute and storage solutions with our flexible network and power connectivity innovations brings real value to customers.”
