TiniFiber returns to showcase Micro Armor Fiber innovations at BICSI

Jan. 24, 2017
The TiniFiber Micro Armor Fiber features a patented, stainless steel tube coiled layer of protection around the inner jacket of the fiber-optic cable.

TiniFiber is again exhibiting its award-winning portfolio of U.S. Patented Micro Armored Fiber cables, along with other products during the 2017 BICSI Winter Conference & Exhibition (Jan. 22-26) in Tampa, FL. The fiber-optic cables will be on display at TiniFiber's booth #844 in the Tampa Convention Center from January 23-25.

Per a company press release, "Since the company's official unveiling at the 2016 BICSI conference in Orlando, TiniFiber has had a series of significant, high-profile success stories, including being named for a 2nd year in row as the winner of the coveted 2016 'Govies' Government Security Platinum Level Award in the Fiber Optics Category, lighting up various NFL productions, powering the main theater with Encore Event Technologies at Dreamforce 2016, and being utilized in the buildout of New York City's Hudson Yards and Arthur Ashe Stadium."

"We're focused on providing best-in-class armored fiber-optic solutions to meet the needs of large enterprises, IT, communications, telco, CATV, Pro AV, CEDIA, security and government agencies that are seeking a quality fiber-optic cable for both indoor and outdoor usage," says Christian A. Peterson III, CEO of TiniFiber. He adds, "Our Micro Armor Fiber core cable offers unparalleled bandwidth potential from 1 to 144 strands for both single and multimode usage. We encourage everyone to come see the products for themselves this year at BICSI Winter 2017, booth 844."

TiniFiber says its "Micro Armor Fiber fiber-optic cabling features a U.S. Patented stainless-steel armor that provides the same outer diameter of conventional non-armored fiber cables. The solution offers considerable advantages over the traditional Aluminum Interlocking Armor (AIA) widely used today, and it substantially lowers the cost for installation time, manpower hours, storage, and shipping while adding superior durability and unmatched flexibility," contends the company.

"TiniFiber's revolutionary development of Micro Armor Fiber addresses both the armor and non-armor cable markets in a single solution," notes Barry Skolnick, co-inventor of the product and TiniFiber's chief operating officer. Roman Krawczyk, co-inventor and chief engineer, adds that, "this is accomplished by the proprietary 'Micro Armor Machinery', designed to tightly wind the stainless steel tubular coil around the fiber strands - this results in the smallest Outer Diameter (OD) of any armored fiber cable in the market."
