Installer-friendly copper/fiber combo panel

Siemon offers a wide range of high-density flat and angled copper and fiber patch panels, but sometimes rack space is limited. As such, the company’s 1U Copper/Fiber Combo Panel allows copper and fiber ports to be combined within the same rack unit to maximize space and efficiency in data center racks and cabinets. The patch panel accepts Siemon’s plug-and-play metal (PPM) MTP to LC modules or LC adapter plates that each support up to 24 fibers, and copper adapter plates. Adapter plates each fit up to six shielded or unshielded copper outlets, including the company’s high performance TERA Category 7A, Z-Max Category 6A, Max Category 6 and Category 5e outlets. Designed to be installer friendly, the combo panel is constructed of lightweight high-strength steel. An integrated grounding strip ensures a proper ground path and cable management for proper strain relief. The combo panel comes complete with tie wraps, grounding kit and mounting screws.

RoHS-compliant and UL-listed to UL1863, with published Product Environmental Profiles (PEPs), the panels can also be used as part of Legrand’s nCompass+ channel solutions, and integrate with all Ortronics fiber products.

Rack-mountable front-entrance WDM fiber panel

AFL’s Xpress Fiber Management (XFM) 5RU shelf is a rack-mountable interconnect panel specifically designed to manage fibers in wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) applications, or in situations where fiber entry will occur only at the front entrance of the panel. Based on the LGX intermateability platform, the panel is fully compatible with AFL’s WDM, XFM Optical Cassette and Poli-MOD product lines. Routing rings on the bottom of the front panel allow cable assemblies to exit comfortably, while the back of the panel is left open to reduce size and weight. The XFM shelf can be mounted at three depths within the rack, which includes a flush-mount option. The shelf also features a clear, removable front door and a pullout cable designator card.
