The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has announced keynote speakers for the organization’s flagship annual conference, dubbed "TIA 2013: Future of the Network.” To be held from October 7-10 in Washington, D.C., the conference will bring together strategists, thought leaders, technologists and policymakers to focus on mobility, broadband capacity, and the information and communications technology (ICT) industry value chain.
“With exponential growth fueled by mobility, video content and applications, the ICT industry is facing tremendous disruption,” contends TIA president, Grant Seiffert. “TIA 2013 will give companies actionable ways to take advantage of opportunities and navigate challenges. We’re thrilled that leading visionaries will contribute to this conversation.”
According to TIA, this year's conference will explore "disruption in the marketplace, best practices, trends, and changing business models, in a format designed to help companies succeed." The event is centered around 6 tracks and will include 10 pre-conference workshops, a CTO Roundtable, a “Women in ICT” Breakfast, a Solutions Zone, and a Policy Day. A broad range of network-centric topics will be covered, including the all-IP network transition, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data center optimization, environmental regulation, FirstNet/public safety plans, global supply chain, government procurement reform, higher education, M2M, m-health, role of media, software-defined networking, spectrum, and more.
