The largest wireless telecommunications provider in the United States, Verizon, released a service-oriented statement for its customers related to the Northeastern U.S.’s Blizzard of 2015.

The provider says it has taken a number of steps in an attempt to maintain coverage for its customers during the storm. These include testing and fueling backup batteries and generators at key network facilities and mobilizing a fleet of disaster recovery emergency vehicles, if necessary. The company says also plans to deploy repair technicians to hard hit areas.

Verizon customers can go to www.verizon.com/outage to receive alerts, report service-related issues, and request repairs or they can use the Verizon In-Home Agent application on their computers to attempt a diagnosis and solution. For users without internet service, Verizon may be reached by phone at 1-800-Verizon.

Verizon small business customers should use www.verizon.com/bizoutage to report issues. Enterprise and medium-size business customers are advised to contact their regular customer service centers or account teams or use the Enterprise Center at enterprisecenter.verizon.com.

A video below shows emergency preparedness tips for Verizon customers and how the company tries to maintain service during storms.
