BICSI Conference Attendees Can Earn Up To 9 Additional Continuing Education Credits

Preconference master classes as well as online and on-site courses are available.

Information and communications technology (ICT) industry professionals attending the BICSI Winter Conference and Exhibition in Orlando will earn 15 continuing education credits (CECs) toward the renewal of BICSI’s professional credentials by virtue of their attendance at conference sessions, which will be held January 30 through February 1. BICSI also is offering preconference master classes on Sunday, January 28 and Monday, January 29 that are recognized for CECs. The classes are recognized for between 3 and 9 CECs, depending on their topic and duration.

The 2024 BICSI Winter Conference is being delivered as a live in-person event as well as virtually. The preconference master classes are available only to in-person attendees.

The schedule of those master classes, which BICSI has made available here, shows 5 sessions offered on Sunday, January 28 and 7 sessions on Monday, January 29. Here are the 5 offered on Sunday:

  • Fundamentals of Passive Optical LAN
  • PoE Lighting and Automation Bootcamp

  • Designing Audiovisual Systems Using the ANSI/BICSI 007 Standard for Intelligent Buildings
  • Field Testing of Installed Fiber: Standards, Specifications and Process
  • Optical LAN Implementation and Use Cases
  • Communications Management Plan
  • Help Close the Digital Divide—FTTx Outside Plant Design
  • From Hyperscale to Exascale: Navigating AI’s Impact on Data Center Connectivity
  • Sustainable Technology Assessment and Readiness (STAR)—Navigating the Path to Sustainable Digital Buildings of the Future

In addition to those classes and the full conference, BICSI also offers multiple in-person pre-conference training courses at BICSI Learning Academy in Tampa, FL, January 22-26—as well as a number of other face-to-face courses and virtual courses.
