Fiber termination panels, frames
Available in terminate-only configurations, Americable's high-density F19 termination panels come standard with 24-, 48-, 72-, 96-, 144-, or 192-port configurations, which can deliver up to 1,152 fiber-termination ports in a standard 7-foot frame. It offers front access to the fiber jumpers and rear access to the OSP/IFC fibers, allowing rack or wall mounting for space-critical environments. These panels support industry-standard connectors as well as on-frame fusion splicing and mechanical splicing for both singlemode and multimode fiber termination systems. Frames and panels are available pre-loaded with factory-tested and -terminated fiber assemblies.

Adjustable cable ties
Velcro USA's adjustable Qwik Ties are designed for commercial bundling and cable management applications. This self-engaging fastener attaches to itself by using hook-and-loop technology to create a re straining device that fastens without twisting, tying, or adhesive. The strap fits behind patch panels and is designed to cinch in a tight radius. Also, your company logo, Web site, or a promotional message may be printed on the strap.

Tester/wire mapping tool
CooperTools' Xcelite data communications CDD1B coaxial/data/tone tester has a mapping function that tells you where wiring is located and lets you test cable conditions be fore or after installation. The cable location/identification function lets you identify the locations up to seven installed lines at a time. Testing functions include cable identification (straight or reverse), pair identification, and an open/short test. Also, the tester features a "low battery" identification light and "automatic off" to conserve the battery.

Wire and cable marking system
PrintSafe's alphaJET marking system has a wide range of font sizes to mark 28-gauge singles and power cables (1-inch-tall text). Printing at various speeds up to 2,000 feet per minute, according to company claims, the system can print up to six lines of text with high resolution. The printer monitors viscosity, ink level, and other factors, and adjusts as needed. No ink cartridges, cassettes, or other fluid-addition systems are needed.
