The CableMaster 1000 cable tester combines the functions of six testers in one. It tests the pin-out of DB9, 15, and 25 cables, RJ-45 cables, and ST fiber-optic cables. The tester has built-in intelligence for comparing common PC cables and room for three user-defined cable configurations. The unit has a power bar graph for testing patch cords and includes a 100 light-emitting-diode breakout box. It can monitor the activity of Ethernet networks via its DB15 port.
