This 100Base-TX ibm cabling system converter--EB-100BaseT-U-45-- connects 100Base-TX physical-layer technology with the ibm cabling system. The unit lets you run a 100Base-TX Ethernet network over existing ibm Type 1 cabling. Designed to work with Category 5 cabling, the ets 100Base-T impedance matching adapter supports 10Base-T, 100Base-TX, and other high-speed networks. The adapter converts bidirectionally between a universal data connector and an 8-pin modular jack. It features impedance of 150-ohm stp to 100 ohms, return loss >25 decibels from 100 kilohertz to 100 megahertz, and insertion loss of less than 0.4 dB.
