BTI Wireless joins DAS Forum

Oct. 2, 2012
DAS Forum membership is expected to boost BTI's market presence and global branding.

BTI Wireless (BTI), a provider of wireless coverage systems, announced that it has joined the DAS Forum, a trade organization dedicated to the development and deployment of distributed antenna systems (DAS). BTI is a privately-held company whose product lines include power amplifiers, DAS platforms, small cells, and other RF subsystems.

“We believe the DAS Forum brings substantial exposure to our growing business and operations in North America,” comments Justin McNew, vice president of marketing and product management at BTI. “Our DAS products enable our customers to deploy industry leading solutions that extend coverage, maximize performance and save space.”

BTI has been providing end-to-end DAS solutions for several years, and has supported several large-scale deployments of its DAS offerings in major metropolitan areas across the US and globally. The company's mBSC line of DAS products support 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies, and may be used to improve coverage and capacity for any wireless carrier, in all frequency bands used in North America.

“The DAS Forum welcomes BTI Wireless to the fold. Distributed Antenna Systems are gaining traction throughout the United States as people continue their love affair with smart phones, tablets and other wireless devices,” says Tracy Ford of the DAS Forum.

Ford adds, “The nation’s wireless operators are working to bring better coverage and higher capacity to wireless networks to meet those increased data demands. Meanwhile, venue owners are realizing the importance of wireless service to meet their customer needs. We look forward to working more closely with BTI Wireless to help educate about the role of DAS and smart cells as part of the wireless broadband infrastructure.”

BTI is exhibiting at the PCIA Wireless Infrastructure show, booth #603, in Orlando, Florida from October 1-4. For more information, visit www.btiwireless.com.
