Vicon cuts prices for PTZ dome cameras

The company has announced immediate price reductions across its Surveyor line of high-performance PTZ dome cameras.

Network video management systems provider Vicon Industries has announced immediate price reductions across its Surveyor line of high-performance PTZ dome cameras. The price reductions, which range from 7% to 9% by model, affect both the SurveyorHD and SurveyorVFT product lines.

The SurveyorHD line includes 1080p/20x zoom and 720p/18x zoom models that conform to the ONVIF specification, providing interoperability with VMS software from many manufacturers. The cameras feature high-profile H.264 and M-JPEG compression, multi-streaming to deliver bandwidth-efficient video for viewing and recording, high-speed 360-degree continuous pan, advanced titling and other high-end features.

“We anticipate customers will be extremely receptive to the new SurveyorHD pricing, which will make it the most competitively priced high-performance HD PTZ dome on the market,” contends Bret McGowan, Vicon's senior VP of sales and marketing.
