Apple flirts with Carribbean data center

As reported by Data Center Dynamics, who quotes a post originally seen at Among Tech, the Unique Infrastructure Group is said to be constructing a new data center for Apple on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curaçao.

The data center is said to be part of the Ctex project, an initiative from the government of Curaçao to create the ‘Silicon Valley’ of the Southern Caribbean.

It is reported that the facility's construction was almost completed, and then the company originally building the facility went bankrupt. It not currently known when the facility will come online.
