Ways to make DAS more intelligent

In an interview with RCR Wireless News, Dali Wireless CTO and co-founder Shawn Stapleton holds forth.

RCR Wireless News recently spoke with Dali Wireless CTO and co-founder Shawn Stapleton about the company's High Density Solution (HDS), which he says is designed to add intelligence to DAS deployments. Dali introduced the HDS, billed as an integrated solution for wireless coverage and capacity, Wi-Fi and video monitoring, at last year's Mobile World Congress 2014.

According to the company, the HDS system is fundamentally designed to accommodate a high concentration of mobile data users in highly dense urban environments. With its integrated Wi-Fi, video monitoring and other IP modules, the all-in-one hardware solution is geared for enabling optimal wireless coverage and capacity, adds the company.

“Having the power to add IP modules such as Wi-Fi access points and video cameras in a plug and play fashion to the remotes of an integrated cellular network, and offload the content to remote management centers with the IP backhaul gives organizations great flexibility to manage their wireless needs,” said Stapleton.

At last year's Mobile World Congress, Dali also displayed its t-Series, a line of all-digital RF routers with dynamic capacity routing capabilities. The t-Series includes the company's tHost all-digital intelligent RF Router host, t30 quad-band indoor remote and t43 dual-band outdoor remote units.

The company notes that its t-Series is specifically designed as a means for organizations to accommodate multiple mobile operators, each with their own dedicated capacity resources, while controlling all elements of the system with a Web-based management system and support for Public Safety and Wi-Fi integration.
