The judging panel consisted of cabling and communications system specifiers, designers, integrators and managers with vast professional experience. Leviton Network Solutions and California State University Monterey Bay was recognized as a Silver honoree.

“On behalf of the Cabling Installation & Maintenance Innovator Awards, I would like to congratulate Leviton Network Solutions and California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) on their Silver–level honoree status,” said Cabling Installation & Maintenance Group Publisher Alan Bergstein. “This competitive, unbiased program celebrates the most innovative projects in the structured cabling industry. We are pleased to celebrate Leviton Network Solutions and California State University Monterey Bay‘s Silver status and recognize their contribution to the structured cabling industry.”

In 2014, California State University Monterey Bay started construction of their new Business and Information Technology building, taking the first step toward establishing themselves as a technology leader in higher education. To accomplish this, they selected two of Leviton’s most innovative solutions, taking advantage of the value, sustainability and benefits Leviton solutions offer.

The Leviton Intact Intelligent Port Management System makes it easy to monitor port status, manage network changes and diagnose problems remotely while Atlas-X1 UTP QuickPort connectors provide the bandwidth needed to meet the growing demands of students and faculty.

“Intact is simple to use, flexible, self-contained, easy to install and will provide the level of accurate reporting we need to optimize network maintenance,” Justin Clausen, RCDD, CSUMB Physical Plant Analyst, Network Services.

With the deployment of these groundbreaking technologies, CSUMB has established itself as a technology leader in higher education and set the standard for other California State University campuses to follow.
