Extreme field testing for outside plant cable (Do not attempt!)

In a new video, Corning Cable Systems' ALTOS cable with the company's FastAccess technology is put through a series of tests under punishing real-world conditions. Do not attempt!

In the following video from Corning Cable Systems, the company's ALTOS cable featuring the proprietary FastAccess field handling technology is put through a series of tests under punishing real-world conditions, as likely to be encountered during any outside plant (OSP) field installation. "From driving over cable to dropping a manhole cover on it [Ed. note - Ever seen a manhole cover flipped like a coin?], this cable takes a beating, but the jacket stays intact," says Corning Cable Systems' Mike Fuller.
