Macnica will be coming in strong with its MEG1 along with the company’s first IPMX ethernet gateway made in conjunction with ASTRODESIGN at ISE 2024. ASTRODESIGN will showcase its IPMX AV over IP Gateway featuring Macnica’s full-stack ME10 SoC solution at stand CS650 at the event. The product is dubbed the IA-1568.
“ASTRODESIGN specializes in real-time digital signal processing technology for several industries, and manufactures a wide range of video, audio and measurement products and solutions for use in broadcast and AV environments, including live event venues.” The company has a wide range of product lines from IP Gateways to support 8k video transmission to JPEG XS compression in SMPTE ST 2110 systems. These products were primarily made for usage in the Japanese market.
In 2023, ASTRODESIGN became an AIMS Alliance member to partner with companies like Macnica to advance IPMX product development. This included making a new IP Gateway for IPMX systems that would also aid ASTRODESIGN in expanding into new business regions, primarily North America and Europe. As ASTRODESIGN and Macnica had worked together in the past, the former company decided to partner with Macnica to develop the IA-1568. Macnica ME10 SoC provided ASTRODESIGN a 1G AV over IP solution for low-latency transport of 4K60 4:4:4 video, coupled with a compact design that fits within the IA-1568’s 1RU hardware design.
