New sales VP named for video security, IP camera systems specialist Vicon/IQinVision

Bret McGowan named Senior Vice-President of Sales for the Americas, Far East and W. Africa businesses of the combined Vicon/IQinVision organizations.

Video security and surveillance systems and high-performance IP camera technology specialist Vicon Industries (Edgewood, NY) announced that, as part of the ongoing integration of its IQinVision business, Bret McGowan has been named Senior Vice-President, Sales for the combined companies' Americas, Far East and Western Africa businesses, taking responsibility for the combined sales organization.

As part of the transition process, Steven Safarti, Vicon's director of global sales, and Mike Gruber, its director of sales operations, both formerly with IQinVision, will report to McGowan.

According to a press release, McGowan "joined Vicon over 20 years ago as a marketing analyst and has since held many positions and continually moved up the [organization's] ladder, most recently as Vicon’s Senior Vice-President, Sales and Marketing for the Americas, Far East and Western Africa."
