Infinite Electronics’ brand Fairview Microwave recently announced the launch of its VITA 67 mini-SMP (SMPM) cable assemblies. The new assemblies are made to address the critical needs of industries like radar systems, avionics, aerospace and defense, and ground communication.
A notable feature of the VITA 67 cable assemblies is their DC to 65 GHz frequency range, a new benchmark for signal transmission. The cable assemblies also have a blindmate/push-on design which provide connectivity even in high-density RF environments.
The assemblies push-on and snap-on styles make installation quick and simple. Customers also have the option to customize the VITA 67 and a choice of connectors, which include 1.85mm, 2.4 mm, 2.92 mm, and SMA.
The high-density design of these cables make them well-suited for motherboard applications. Fairview Microwave also sees the VITA 67 as “particularly advantageous for phase array systems and avionics applications” as the assemblies “have been designed with the future of RF signal transmission in mind.”
