Nexans exploring sale of Berk-Tek

Parent company says the possibility materialized after multiple expressions of interest.

Nexans recently issued a brief press release in which it announced it “is exploring the possibility of the sale of its Berk-Tekcopper and fibercable activity in the U.S.” Nexans said this consideration follows “receipt of expressions of interest.”

The two-sentence release, which can be found here on the Nexans website, added that Berk-Tek generates annual sales of approximately $200 million.
