Belden names new EMEA ops head

Belden Inc. has appointed Christoph Gusenleitner to executive vice president of operations and global connectivity for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Belden Inc. (NYSE: BDC) has appointed Christoph Gusenleitner to executive vice president of operations and global connectivity for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Gusenleitner comes from Bain & Company Germany, Inc. (Munich, Germany) where he was a Partner within the industrial goods and services practice. "Christoph brings extensive regional experience in implementing lean manufacturing principles to improve delivery and productivity, and he will be a critical asset as Belden continues to expand and innovate its operations throughout the EMEA region," said John Stroup, Belden's president and CEO.

Belden Appoints New Operations Head for Europe, Middle East and Africa

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Belden Inc. (NYSE:BDC) , a leader in signal transmission solutions, announced today that it has appointed Christoph Gusenleitner to executive vice president of operations and global connectivity for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Belden is a market leader in industrial wired and wireless networking and connectivity solutions, with operations worldwide.

Gusenleitner comes from Bain & Company Germany, Inc. (Munich, Germany) where he was a Partner within the industrial goods and services practice. Prior to this he held key management positions with the global industrial manufacturer Danaher, including vice president of its BU Instruments and Equipment business, president of Danaher Dental Equipment EMEA and General Manager of KaVo Dental GmbH in Germany. He was responsible for leading three global business units and 18 sales offices and regions in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa with total sales of approximately $520 million.

Gusenleitner holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Technology in Vienna, Austria, as well as an MS in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University.

Gusenleitner is expected to assume his new post April 1. He will be based out of Neckartenzlingen, Germany.
