Legrand’s 50A Turnlok plugs and connectors are the company’s latest productivity and labor savings in temporary power applications innovation. Each device has a simple push, twist, and lock body assembly with a back body that easily slides onto the device and locks in place with a quarter twist. The 50A Turnlok plugs and connectors can also withstand harsh environments with their multitude of features. This includes a nylon 66 shell which is a durable impact and corrosion-resistant material that allows for high performance even in the most challenging environments.
The devices feature an adjustable cord clamp that is outside the back body to provide greater flexibility and accommodate a wider range of cord sizes 8AWG-4AWG. Clamp screws are on the same plane for quicker installation, and longer screws come with the device to adjust for larger cables. Legrand’s products have a hex head termination design for quicker, simpler, and safer terminations that make it so more torque can be applied without the fear of harmful screwdriver slips. All termination screws are on the same plane making installations more accurate, time-saving, and streamlined.
Legrand’s 50A Turnlok plug blades’ are made of industrial-strength brass alloy, as well as the connector contacts. This makes them both able to resist rising heat and provide superb conductivity. The devices also have an integral flexible rubber cord grommet that conforms to and seals around SO cord to protect against oils, water, or chips entering the wiring chamber. All these features make “installations faster, safer and more dependable”.
