T1/E1, TC1620 fiber-optic modems help eliminate line jitter by using an elastic buffer to re-adjust the incoming signal to the proper timing. Based on field-programmable gate array technology, the diagnostics of these modems include five light-emitting diodes---one each for power, alarm, signal loss and bipolar violations.
