Handy white paper from OFS outlines five key points to know about bend-insensitive 50 µm multimode fiber (BIMMF).

A handy, 2-page white paper from OFS outlines five key points of knowledge regarding bend-insensitive 50 µm multimode fiber (BIMMF). As pointed out by the document, developed in 2009 to enable more compact fiber management systems and to improve space utilization in modules, enclosures, cabinets and patch fields, BIMMF may also help mitigate link failures when optical cables undergo small-diameter bends, particularly when applied in data center jumpers/modules and for high-performance computer applications.
