The Fiber Broadband Association recently opened the Call for Speakers at Fiber Connect 2024.

The yearly event will be taking place from July 28th to July 31st 2024 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Fiber Connect is the world’s biggest fiber broadband conference, with the anticipation that this year’s event will attract more than 4,000 attendees from varying backgrounds in the fiber broadband ecosystem. The attendees will include network operators, service providers, innovators, broadband industry leaders, and more, who will all see how fiber can connect people, communities, etc.

Evann Freeman, FBA Conference Committee Chair, FBA Board Member, and EPB of Chattanooga Vice President, Government & Community Relations, remarked on the event stating, “Our program for Fiber Connect 2024 is focused on ‘Accelerating Our Fiber Future’ to collaborate on best practices that will ensure we can reach every community, efficiently tackle any challenge along the way, and push the envelope on the advanced capabilities that fiber broadband can deliver.”

Regarding speakers, in particular, he stated, “Every year we welcome exciting speakers, subject matter experts, and industry leaders from our membership and beyond to join the conversation at Fiber Connect. I look forward to curating our 2024 speakers for this year’s program as we explore how to advance fiber’s bright future.”

Fiber Connect 2024 is solely accepting submissions for breakout sessions, which are 100% panel sessions made to focus on the things driving the fiber broadband industry forward. Anyone interested in being part of a breakout panel session can submit their qualifications here before Wednesday, March 20th, 2024. The specific topics for potential speakers are Deployment Opportunities and Challenges, Network Operations: The What, When, and How of Expanding Fiber Footprints, Middle Mile: Keeping It All Connected, Service Provider Ecosystem: Delivering Excellence at Every Point, and Fiber Financials: The Economics of Fiber Broadband.

On the submissions selection process the Fiber Broadband Association states, “All Fiber Connect 2024 speaking submissions will be reviewed by the FBA Conference Committee with the following considerations: expertise on subject matter, involvement with FBA, and relevant speaker experience. No submissions featuring or focused on specific company products or solutions will be considered.
