    Escon-compatible cable assembly

    An Escon-compatible fiber-optic cable assembly and connector works with ibm`s S/390 processors and Escon interface and meets intermateability details defined in the ibm Enterprise Systems Architecture/390, Escon I/O interface, and Physical Layer specification SA23-0394. This connector uses an amp-patented strain-relief system with minimum bend-radius protection and a new ferrule floating system.
