May 20, 2009 -- CXtec has launched its customizable CABLExpress Skinny-Trunk MTP connector, which offers 24 strands of condensed fiber optic technology.
"We designed the Skinny-Trunk 24 assembly to feature the highest quality factory terminations to ensure they far exceed industry dB loss performance standards," explains Peter E. Belyea, vice president of CXtec's cabling/data center division. "As a result, we believe that the Skinny-Trunk will reduce installation time and cable management concerns in our customer's fiber optic infrastructure without compromising loss budgets."
According to Joe Iamartino, director of new business development for HCM Hitachi Cable Manchester, Inc., "Skinny-Trunk pre-assembled plug and play-style cassettes and trunking simplify life for fiber optic infrastructure designers. CABLExpress has taken the universal cassette vision one huge step forward with the release of their H-series enclosures."
Iamartino adds, "These universal modules can be installed in different vertically- or horizontally-mounted enclosures, ranging from 1U to 10U in size and these cassette modules double the density of any products currently on the market. This level of flexibility has never been offered before to the enterprise structured fiber world and it is my guess the wiring world will be ever-changed with its release."
CXtec says the Skinny-Trunk 24 comes in customizable lengths and offers a rugged furcation point. The highly customizable connector is fully compatible with the company's CABLExpress H-Series enclosures.
