The Universal Polishing Disk accommodates any fiber-optic connector built around a standard 2.5-millimeter cylindrical-alignment ferrule. It can handle up to four ST, SC, or FC connectors simultaneously or one duplex SC or Fiber Distributed Data Interface at a time. The disk requires no special or additional tooling, and its polishing surface is slotted to accommodate wet and dry polishing. Four inserts are built in.
