The Z-Mount LC is the latest addition to the CABLExpress Skinny-Trunk Solution.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- CABLExpress, a manufacturer of data center and cabling infrastructure products, has added the Skinny-Trunk Z-Mount LC universal mounting bracket to its Skinny-Trunk product line.

The Z-Mount LC is designed to be used in server cabinets and comes standard with 12 duplex, ganged LC ports, which are available left or right facing and feature shuttered adapters for optimum dust control and safety. The bracket is engineered for precision mating that far exceeds industry dB loss performance standards.

The metal bracket attaches to the rails of any standard rack or cabinet. Fiber-optic trunking cables snap into the back of the Z-Mount bracket and fiber jumpers plug into the front, therefore eliminating the need to utilize an additional enclosure inside the rack.

“The Z-Mount LC is the latest addition to the innovative CABLExpress Skinny-Trunk Solution,” said Peter E. Belyea, vice president of Data Center and Cabling for CABLExpress. “The bracket was developed after listening to the needs of our customers. In server cabinets, customers wanted to be able to deploy LC patch cords without wasting rack space in their structured cabling systems.”

The overall Skinny-Trunk Solution is a high-density fiber cable trunking system designed to increase flexibility, save space and improve performance in a structured data center. The solution offers high performance and low loss rates, allowing customers to maintain a structured cabling solution in accordance with the TIA-942 recommended data center design standard and migrate to 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s hardware products without disruption to the structured cabling system.

The Skinny-Trunk Z-Mount LC bracket comes with a five-year warranty. The CABLExpress Skinny-Trunk Solution is sold by CXtec and TERACAI.
