"These best practices will be shared freely to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19," says Uptime Institute.

As impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect businesses around the world, data center and critical facilities advisory firm Uptime Institute says it "is committed to providing the digital infrastructure industry with the tools and understanding to reduce operational risk in this time of stress."

An Uptime Institute statement continued, "The global economy depends on the ability to continue normal operations. This is why our Research Team has been working around the clock to bring you our latest report - COVID-19: Operational Countermeasures."

As produced by Uptime Institute, the new advisory report has been assembled with the help of data center owners, operators, clients and members, to capture and articulate the best practices which should be implemented to reduce risk associated with the operations of critical infrastructure facilities during the pandemic.

"These best practices will be shared freely to help mitigate the impact of COVID-19," said Uptime Institute. "The steps discussed in this report will also help operations leaders develop strategies and procedures for future health epidemics."

This week, industry stakeholders are also invited to participate in the Uptime Institute's new webinar, entitled COVID-19: Minimizing Critical Facility Risk. The webinar will discuss the key points made in the report of the same name, and detail the best practices already in place across the date center industry.
