Logix Fiber Networks completes twin upgrades to Texas data centers

Dallas and Fort Worth data center power enhancements will support customer growth, says Logix.

Logix Fiber Networks, a Texas-based business telecom connectivity and data center company with more than 10,000 business customers, this month announced it has completed two major power upgrades in its Dallas data centers.

At its 2323 Bryan Street location in Dallas, Logix reports it replaced the facility's A-side UPS with the latest 100KVA UPS equipment, and is planning to add an additional UPS in the coming months.

Additionally, at its 1950 N. Stemmons Freeway location in Dallas, the company said it has upgraded its DC battery plant to support Logix’s core voice and data network infrastructure.

Logix’s Fort Worth data center is also undergoing several enhancements, including the addition of a new B-side power 100KVA UPS and upgrades to its customer lobby and office areas.

“Leadership in technology, financial services, manufacturing, education, and connectivity continues to make the Dallas and Fort Worth areas especially attractive markets for our SMB and enterprise customers,” said Craig Collins, chief executive officer at Logix.

Collins added, “The DFW’s diverse economy moves fast, and Logix operates in the same manner. Our downtown Fort Worth and Dallas data centers are ideal locations for companies fueling this area’s growth to leverage Logix’s state-of-the-art and well-connected data centers in this dynamic region.”

Logix notes that data centers continue to play a growing role in meeting the increasing demands of the digital economy. According to a recent report by Research and Markets as cited by the firm, the data center market is expected to realize an 8.6% CAGR through 2026.

“Our operations teams tightly manage our data center footprints to ensure we stay several steps ahead of customer demand,” noted Glenn Taylor, senior vice president of network operations at Logix. “These facilities offer exceptional colocation opportunities for customers of all sizes with redundant and highly reliable systems, as well as robust fiber connectivity options using the Logix network and numerous other 3rd party carriers."

With a 35-year history, Logix Fiber Networks cites itself as the largest independent fiber network provider in Texas, providing highly secure fiber-based data, voice services, and data center access to over 10,000 enterprise and carrier customers, and connecting nearly 100 third-party data centers across Texas.

The firm's business services include its Business Voice, Business Internet, Business Ethernet, Business Wavelength, Business Voice Cloud, Business Voice Trunks, Data Centers, and Cloud Connect offerings. Wholesale carrier solutions include Ethernet and wavelength transport, metro and long haul, dark fiber, cell site fronthaul/backhaul and IP connectivity.

Logix says it continues to experience growth across all markets in Texas, with over 285,000 fiber miles connecting over 3,000 enterprise buildings and nearly 100 third-party data centers.
