Fiber Mountain, Inc. and Green Lambda Merge

Jan. 3, 2024
The merger between Fiber Mountain, Inc. and Green Lambda will lead to further AI and Machine Learning solutions in data centers.

Per Newswire, Fiber Mountain, Inc. and Green Lambda Corporation plan on merging to provide AI and Machine Learning (ML) Software Management and Security solutions to the data center sector. The company will be called Fiber Mountain, Inc. with the headquarters being in Norman, Oklahoma.

Fiber Mountain serves government and enterprise customers with its AI/ML Software Management and Security solutions. This infrastructure has had deployments of millions of cables, thousands of racks, and more, however the connectivity between the devices can not be easily traced and is typically not documented appropriately.

Fiber Mountain stands out in that the company’s solutions automatically document each connection and provide a real-time map of the whole network. Each port is labeled with ICID (Intelligent Connection ID), which is patented exclusively for Fiber Mountain’s fiber optic cable and can be read by remote software. An LCD patch panel aids in reading cable connections and mapping them throughout the data center. Real-time information is provided by the sensors in every cable and within the panel, and the AI engine gives efficiency and security by connecting all the information gathered with actions in the data center.

A major asset of Fiber Mountain’s solution is its Zero Trust security. Zero Trust is layered through several stages of the network, though the company stands out as being the first company to “provide it from a physical connection security perspective”. “Zero Trust at the lowest point in the network, in the physical layer, says that the earlier Zero Trust is applied, the better it will be.”
