Altima's NetZoomDC helps data center professionals model, manage and maximize their data center assets and capacity.

Lisle, IL -- Altima Technologies, Inc., a maker of software for designing, diagramming and documenting physical networks, racks and data centers, announced the release of NetZoomDC, the next generation of its proprietary software designed to address the challenges of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM).

According to the company, NetZoomDC helps data center professionals model, manage and maximize their data center assets and capacity. The application is a multi-user, client-server version of the existing NetZoom software designed for use in small to medium sized data centers. NetZoomDC utilizes Microsoft SQL Server to maintain a centralized repository of the client's data center infrastructure and connectivity and the device shape library.

NetZoomDC is billed as a productivity tool to assist data center professionals with day-to-day tasks such as:
--Tracking assets throughout their entire lifecycle
--Troubleshooting data center Issues
--Building and managing green data centers
--Automatically creating data center floor and rack elevation diagrams in Microsoft Office Visio
--Documenting each floor from the rack to the port level

"Many network professionals have shared that the main reason they are reluctant to diagram racks and data centers is by the time they finish creating the diagram, the configuration has already changed leaving the diagram outdated. NetZoomDC solves this issue by creating data-driven diagrams and documentation on demand so they are always up-to-date. It is a real time saver," said Nick Albano, Manager of Support for Altima.

NetZoomDC features include:
--A centralized database for managing data center infrastructure hierarchy and device connectivity
--Importing data center assets from Microsoft Excel worksheets or Microsoft Office Visio diagrams
--Dozens of user-customizable reports
--Data-driven diagrams created on demand for visualizing the data center
--A Configurator feature for creating standardized custom-built chassis

"Since NetZoomDC is based on Microsoft Office technology, adoption and deployment are quick and easy and existing data in Microsoft Excel or Visio format can be directly imported to populate the data center. Report customization as well as adding additional reports and diagram templates can be done with existing staff further reducing the need for external professional services. Coupled with attractive pricing, these factors combine to make NetZoomDC have the lowest total cost of ownership and quickest ROI of all data center infrastructure management solutions," stated Sara Clark, President of Altima Technologies, Inc.

NetZoomDC is immediately available; pricing includes a renewable 12-month subscription to download software updates and device library updates and allows customers to request new shape development at no additional charge. Visit www.NetZoomDC.com for more information.
