A web seminar that will be hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance and delivered live on April 12 will discuss three aspects of data-center cabling. The seminar, titled "Deploying Efficient Cabling Infrastructure for Data Centers," discusses cabling, testing and housing/enclosure options for data center environments.
A description of the seminar states, "Because data center networks are evolving ecosystems, ideally the infrastructure that supports them will be flexible and future-ready enough to adapt as inevitable network changes take place. Professionals who design, install and use structured cabling systems in these environments are challenged to ensure the investment made today will continue to provide value in the future. This webcast seminar will address three methods data center professionals can employ to gain long-term efficiency from their cabling infrastructure."
The topics of the presentations that will be delivered, and the individuals who will deliver them, are listed here.
Securing a migration path to higher-speed networking - Mike Connaughton; fiber-optic product business manager, Berk-Tek
Ensuring high reliability in new data centers - David Schell; principal engineer, Fluke Networks
Maintaining flexibility in housing equipment - Lars Larsen; director of physical support products, Legrand Ortronics
The seminar will be delivered live at 1:00 pm EDT on Thursday, April 12. After that live delivery, it will be available for viewing on-demand for six months.
