In addition to deconstructing and explaining the advantages of Red Hat's Enterprise Virtualization application for servers and desktops, the handy guide also includes a wealth of general information about virtualization applications, migration, and best practices. Material covered includes the basics of virtualization, a layperson's explanation of how it works, and details on common security and desktop virtualization platforms.

In terms of best practices, the white paper also includes suggestions on how to improve virtualization resource allocation and accelerate time to application deployment. Tips for greater hardware independence and controlling migration and project costs are also touched upon.
