Data center density myths debunked

Do typical data center deployments really achieve densities of 10kW-20kW per rack? Not according to a recent Uptime Institute survey.

In a recent Youtube video, Uptime Institute professional services VP Vince Renaud steps forward and "debunks the myth that typical data center deployments are 10kW-20kW per rack." For years, the data center industry has been warned by vendors that high density racks are coming, but according to the results of a recent survey, "the reality on the raised floor is far different," contends Uptime Institute's Renaud.
