UL approves Methode Electronics' FusionLug cable and wire termination technology

FusionLug formed wire compression lug system is now recognized by Underwriter Laboratories (UL) for single and multiple power conductor configurations.

Methode Electronics' (NYSE: MEI) Power Solutions Group recently announced that its cable and wire termination technology, the FusionLug formed wire compression lug system, is now Underwriter Laboratories (UL) recognized for single and multiple conductor configurations under the UL 486 A and B standard.

The FusionLug is part of Methode’s larger Flexible Bus Bar system; the new UL certification covers 10 AWG to 850 MCM for round and flat power conductors. Termination features such as lug size, angle, hole geometry and captured hardware are per customer requirements.

The UL multi site listing applies to all Methode’s Power Solution global manufacturing sites in Rolling Meadows, IL, Shanghai, China, and Mreihel, Malta.
