A lifetime of cable fail, indeed -- the phenomenon is clearly that pervasive in the field. And yet: it's one thing to ironically marvel at or kid around about it being hilarious and an annoyance. But where it intersects with business and consumer costs, and worse, concerns for public safety, then cable fail really isn't much of a laughing matter...
