VCTI CEO talks fiber broadband deployment strategies at Connected America
Broadband and network technology experts VCTI (Somerset, NJ) will discuss the range of critical data analytics and insights needed to develop a strong fiber deployment strategy at the inaugural Connected America conference, taking place March 28-29 in Dallas, Texas.
At the show, Connected America will bring together communications service providers at the national, state, and local level alongside the public sector, enterprise verticals and suppliers to discuss the how and why of improving broadband coverage in America.
VCTI is participating as a silver sponsor of the event, and the company's CEO Raj Singh will participate in a panel discussion entitled, "The Path to Full Fiber," at 11:30 am on March 28.
BEAD funding orients BSPs
With increased activity in light of the anticipated BEAD funding and responses to the FCC maps, VCTI notes that broadband service providers (BSPs) are focused on prioritizing key markets and understanding the business case and cost of expansion.
In Q4 of 2022, VCTI announced that it had supported $1 billion in grant applications.
At the Connected America conference, VCTI will be sharing key learnings from this work and the sophisticated market and network cost optimization enabled by its Broadband Investment Optimization data analytics and fiber deployment planning platform.
VCTI CEO Raj Singh remarked:
"We look forward to connecting with service providers, municipalities, and potential partners at Connected America. We are entering a crucial time for service providers as they look to access federal funding to expand and defend their markets. With an increased focus on bridging the digital divide, service providers must implement a data-driven prioritization of their investments as they plan their growth strategies of their network. We look forward to sharing the ways our geo-spatial data analytics platform can help them build and execute on their business plans to maximize returns."
VCTI's BIO service offering
VCTI's Broadband Investment Optimization (BIO) Service identifies the viable technology options with economic analysis in targeted areas to help service providers prioritize infrastructure investment and strengthen collaboration with local governments for public/private partnerships.
VCTI determines underserved and serviceable households and communities in targeted expansion areas within or tangential to the provider's current footprint using machine learning technology, highly accurate location data, mapping services, and infrastructure information.
Once the targeted areas are determined, the service identifies all the technological options available. VCTI's sophisticated design algorithms rapidly design wireline, wireless or hybrid networks to optimize the number of households and businesses the provider can reach with each investment.
Targeted areas for expansion, available technology options, and economic analysis are identified to help service providers make long-term investment decisions.
