Non-metallic enclosure boxes meet NEMA 3R outdoor use standards

May 29, 2015
New enclosures protect and secure power backups, security devices, etc.

Arlington (Scranton, PA) announced that its UV rated enclosure boxes now meet NEMA 3R requirements for outdoor use.

Made of heavy-duty, UV rated non-metallic material, Arlington says the NEMA 3R enclosure boxes are suitable for use indoors, or outdoors when mounted with hinged top. The enclosures protect and secure power backups, security devices, etc.

The boxes are available in three sizes:
• 7” x 8” x 3.5” (EB0708)
• 11” x 11” x 3.5” (EB1111)
• 12” x 12” x 4” with or without a back plate (EB1212)

The back plate allows an installer to mount components to the plate even after the enclosure box is mounted. Changing batteries or performing maintenance is made easy just by removing the plate, notes Arlington.
