Web seminar examines cabling-system management

July 2, 2013
From printed labels to DCIM, a full range of administration technologies and approaches will be discussed.

Three companies will team up to deliver a one-hour web-based seminar titled “Cabling System Administration and Management” on Tuesday, July 16. Craig Robinson, manager of sales and business development with Brother Mobile Solutions; Blake Van Scoy, enterprise product specialist with CommScope; and James Cerwinski, director of software with Raritan, will present on the topics of labeling essentials, automated infrastructure management, and DCIM, respectively.

The seminar is being hosted by Cabling Installation & Maintenance, which describes the event as taking “a soup-to-nuts look at the approaches and tools available to administrators of cabling systems of all sized and in all types of environments,” adding that in the practical working environment of today, “the administration of a structured cabling system can take any number of forms and involve a wide range of technologies.” The seminar, it says, is meant to explore those forms and technologies.

After the event happens live on July 16, it will be available for viewing on-demand for six months. Anyone who views the seminar in its entirety, either live or on-demand, will be eligible to receive one ITS continuing education credit (CEC) from BICSI.

You can find more information about the seminar, including detailed descriptions of each presentation, here. You can register for the event here.
