General Cable recently launched three new mobile applications to help end users and customers using their smartphones or tablets maximize productivity, no matter where they are. The three new General Cable Apps are:
• Voltage Drop – Calculates the maximum circuit distance and minimum conductor size for a given voltage drop
• Conductor Ampacity – Calculates conductor ampacities for different temperature ratings
• Conduit Fill – Calculates the minimum conduit size per the National Electrical Code (NEC)
“We know many of the people who use our products spend more time on a jobsite with mobile devices than they do in an office with a desktop computer,” says Alison Earle, sales operations manager at General Cable. “This is why we developed these Apps, which can be easily downloaded and quickly used to calculate current carrying capacity, conduit size and voltage drop -- basically doing the calculations for them on the job, saving them time and money.”
The new General Cable apps are now available for download from the iTunes App Store or on Google Play.
