Light Brigade offering updated training DVD.

AFL’s education and training division, The Light Brigade, announced the release of its newest menu-based DVD, entitled Fiber Optic Patch Panels, Closures and Pedestals. This updated release to the company’s "Staff Development Series" of instructional videos examines the various categories of fiber-optic cross-connect products typically used in metropolitan, wide, local and storage area networks.

The updated DVD features three chapters relating to fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) designs and installations, and showcases the newest products available across the industry. Filmed in controlled field settings, each chapter thoroughly covers a specific product and the cable management role it fulfills, including patch panels, splice panels, distribution panels, entrance enclosures, LAN panels and OSP splice enclosures. In addition, the DVD includes two bonus chapters on how to prepare loose and tight-buffer optical cables, as well as a student quiz.

“With its detailed graphics, animations and user-selectable chapters, the Fiber Optic Patch Panels, Closures and Pedestals DVD is an essential training tool for any organization,” comments Dario De Paolis, vice president and general manager of Light Brigade.
